Are You Losing Track of What Matters?

This week, I’ve had two major realisations. First, I’ve completely let my fitness routine slide. I haven’t exercised in so long because I’ve been so wrapped up in work. I used to be on top of it — gym sessions, runs, healthy eating — but lately, it’s been all work, no movement. The impact is clear: I feel more stressed and less energised. It’s easy to push exercise to the side when you're hustling, but I’m seeing how much it affects everything else when I’m not taking care of my body.

Second, I’ve decided it’s time to learn how to code. In today’s world, with technology advancing so fast, coding is one of the most important skills you can have. It’s not just about building websites or apps; it’s about understanding the digital landscape and being able to create and innovate within it. At 18, I feel like it’s the perfect time for me to dive in. I have the energy and curiosity to really dedicate myself to learning this skill, and I know it will open up so many opportunities down the road.

So, while I’m getting back into exercising for my health and well-being, I’m also pushing myself mentally by learning something completely new. Both are long-term investments in myself. Just like fitness requires consistency and effort, so does coding. I know it’ll be tough at times, but that’s the challenge I’m ready for. In the end, both will help me show up better in all areas of life.

How about you? Have you been keeping track of your own habits and growth, or has something slipped while you’ve been focused elsewhere? Take a moment to reflect — it’s never too late to realign.
